Harlequinn LRA

New clothing label on the fashion scene is Harlequinn LRA. The designers are Lakisha White, Ria Rose and Arayner Ashia. All three women excel in confidence, independence and creativity; this has been transferred to their exclusive clothing line. Studying a BA at the renowned LCF these young designer have brought together an avant-garde of designs to House of Maffia.

 

Harlequinn LRA collections can be described as very edgy, definitely colourful and completed with a bold character. Each designer brings their distinct ideas and together they form their womenswear collection. The variety in their stock reflects seasonal trends, from sweatshirts to dresses. The fashion industry is always taken aback at the quality and determination that young designers put into their collections, with this label being no different. With three creative minds behind this exclusive label, Harlequinn LRA is designed to make a statement, seize attention and push boundaries.

Like many upcoming fashion designers, these women are becoming knees deep in success with Interviews from Nang, Live and Flavour magazines. Hitting the runways by showcasing their collection at two high profile university fashion events Miss generation 2009 and ACS Kings and Queens 2010. Look out for them at Rip the Runway UK later in the year. House of Maffia is excited to showcase Harlequinn LRA collections.

House of Maffia loves House of Holland SS11

It has been a couple weeks since LFW has finished but we here at House of Maffia enjoy looking back at the designers who have made a fashion print on our memories.

One of those is House of Holland by Henry Holland whose creations are loved by Agyness Dyne and Pixie Geldof. His stay in Miami and cocktail parties inspired his collection. Loud and colourful prints, crop tops and belted waist was a reoccurring theme throughout the collection.

Designed by Henry Holland and styled by Sam Ranger, the collaboration of the two are forces not to be messed with as this was fantastic summer styling especially the combinations of pleated skirts.

Boxing Kitten…

Another British summer of gale force winds and appalling showers of rain. Luckily for some like Beyonce, are able to travel to sunny St Tropez and still impress fashionistas with her style.

Beyonce has been spotted in Italy and France wearing fabulous outfits on the beach and also dining with husband Jay Z. She created an outfit of mix prints; leopard print, iKat by Dries van Noten and shorts by the very trendy brand Boxing Kitten.

Boxing Kitten uses African inspired fabric to create their collection and has become very popular amongst the celeb circle with Solange and Fergie adding it to their own wardrobe.

Burberry Prorsum

London Fashion Week is fast approaching with anticipation and excitement gradually built every day. Well, fortunately for us some designers have been releasing pre collection for the Spring-Summer 2011.

Burberry Prorsum are one of those designers, with their collection captivating the British Chic style. The collection is filled with of nudes, browns, the traditional Mac, ankle boots and thigh high boots.
